Rare Vintage Sears 400.91711 AM/FM 8-Track & Record Turntable

Description: Free eBay listing template designed by dewiso.com Sears AM/FM Stereo, 8-Track Player & Record Turntable 400.91711-600 Popular in the 1970s, this Sears stereo system brought together all three of the most popular listening formats of the time: an integrated AM/FM stereo, 8-track player, and record player (33s, 45s and 78s). It also featured an attractive wood grain case and silver faceplate that still look good today.I've partially tested the system by plugging it in and checking each of the buttons. The 8-track switcher is responsive, and the light shows it changing between tracks 1 to 4. The turntable works at all three speeds, but it's missing the needle, and when I tried switching it to auto, the arm would not extend onto the turntable. (I don't know if that's due to not having a record or a technical issue.) The radio tuner can be moved between stations.However, I couldn't test it further than this, as I don't have the necessary equipment, as well as an 8-track and record. It's therefore being sold as is for parts/repair even though it seems to be functional.Note that only the actual shipping charge is being calculated by eBay based on your location, the weight (over 21 pounds after packaging) and the required box size (20x20x12).
