Description: This is a vintage original obsolete police badge from Coles County in Illinois; that has "SERGEANT -- MATTOON POLICE" on it. As you can see; this has the old style eagle on top with the word "Sergeant" in it; with a large 5 point star in the center of it! This was meant only for the Sergeant on the Police Force. In fairly good condition for its age with surface wear and blemishes; minor soiling/staining; nicks/dings/scratches; other blemishes and wear; etc. Please study pictures above to determine condition of item.
