Description: Featured is a vintage Art Nouveau Max Gundlach print produced by the Illinois Moulding Co. Max Gundlach (1863-1957 or 58) was a German born painter and illustrator who studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and excelled at landscape painting. The Illinois Moulding Company of Chicago operated from 1896-1951. The featured print is most likely from the 1920s or 30s when the style was very popular. The print features two lovely ladies gazing into a reflecting pool in a formal garden. It is 18" x 30" and is in good condition. There is a half-inch border around the print that has some tears, creases and staining. The color is crisp and rich with no fading. Please use the included photos as a condition guide. Chuck Olson CollectionChuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960. Chuck amassed a collection of well over 10,000 framed and unframed prints before his death. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the item.
