RARE VINTAGE - Lil Abner 5 Figurine Set - 1940's

Description: Set of five Rare Lil Abner porcelain figurines from the Imperial Porcelain Company in Zanesville, Ohio. The set includes 1) Lil Abner Yokum; 2) Daisy Mae; 3) Sadie Hawkins; 4) Mammy Yokum; and 5) Pappy Yokum. I have only seen one other representation of one of these figurines on-line and cannot find any other references to the collection. These figures are based on the comic strip series created by Al Capp about the hillbillies from Dogpatch, Kentucky. They are glazed porcelain figures with minimal damage. The Sadie Hawkins figure has the only condition issue known, in that her head was snapped off and replaced. The glue seam is obvious and I have not attempted to fix or alter the repair. I leave that to the next owner of this fine collection. This set was a gift given to my Wife's Grandmother by her Father when he was a young boy in the 1940's. Her Grandmother gifted them to my wife when she was about the age of her Father when he presented them to her. They are a special collection looking for a new forever home.
