These candle holders were designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1966 and production began in 1967. The earliest candle holders were signed on the bottom of the base with "TJ" In the early 1970's, the signature was replaced by the "I" sticker. The candle holders are handmade from cast glass elements and each cast elements, being hand made in slightly different so no two candle holders are quite the same height, diameter or shape. These unique candle holders have the look and feel of icy crystal and their defining characteristic is their undulating rings. This makes the Festivo Candle Holders a classic design that has never gone out of style.Iittalia discontinued making the 2,3,4,5,6 rings holders in 2017 and has since also discontinued the 7 and 8 ring holders. They are still producing the candle holders with the metal inserts (except for the 4 and 6 rings that were discontinued in 2021) However the candle holders with the inserts have a different look to them compared to the original ones.Due to the heaviness and fragility of the candle holders, they will be shipped in a large box with plenty of packing to avoid any damage via Priority Mail.
