The bell has Dresden stamp on the inside and the original clapper is still attached. Dresden Lace Porcelain is renowned for the unique technique of applying real lace dipped in liquid porcelain before firing the figurine. The extreme heat of the firing process burns away the fabric and leaves a delicate porcelain lace shell. This beautiful technique originated in the late 19th century in Volkstedt Germany.
