Great weight of solid hand-crafted fine art glass. Etched with DANIEL READ logo on the bottom.Circa of manufacturing: 5-5-1981 Size: 2 1/2" Across the opening 4" Across the bottom 8 1/4" Overall width 6" Tall Excellent condition! No chips, cracks, hazing, flea bites, fogging.There is minor shelf wear on the bottom commensurate with age.There is a inscription to Joanie happy mothers day love David EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITON!RARE AND HARD TO FIND! Daniel Read studied with Dale Chihuly at RISD and continued on as his first employee and member of Chihuly's glassblowing team for twelve years. He has taught workshops at Pilchuck, Haystack, Snow Farm, RISD, MIT, and private studios. Daniel Read has received grants from the Rhode Island state council on the arts and the Mass arts council. His work has been exhibited Lymann Allyn Art Museum, the New Bedford Art Glass Museum, and the MIT Museum. Due to the nature of hand blown and hand cut crystal there will be slight variations from glass to glass. All sizes are approximant and each glass may have a slight variation in weight. Air bubbles can appear in hand blown glass and are not considered a flaw. We sell many used items that have the typical day to day wear. Most are in GOOD USED to EXCELLENT Condition!! Pictures were taken of any major spots, cracks or chips. Some may have flea bites, stains and/or scratches from use.
