Description: Rare Vintage ca. 1930 Art Deco Swiss KURTH Platinum & Diamond Skeleton Watch Incredible piece by Swiss maker KURTH, ca. 1930. Features a 950 Platinum case and closure. The bezel is set with white and blue diamonds, and the crown is adorned with a blue diamond. Very good vintage condition; winds up and works. Backside with glass window and inscribed "Ref. 717", "PT 950", "KURTH", and "No. 52". The case measures approx. 1 1/16" wide (without crown) x 1 2/8" high; total length is approx. 7 7/8" long; total weight of the diamonds is ca. 2,20cts and total weight of the watch approx. 110 grams. The brothers Adolf and Alfred Kurth opened their movement and supplies factory for the watchmaking industry in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1888 and began producing watches in the early 1900s. In 1924 they registered their famous brand "CERTINA" and most watches after that time are produced under this brad name which stands for quality Swiss watchmaking until today. A very stylish luxury Art Deco timepiece.
