I have not come across this bag in this color in all my research, so I assume this is a rare find. There is some obvious wear being from the 60’s but overall in great condition except where shown in the pictures: the 1/2 inch of stitching that is intact but coming undone and absolutely could be restored, and some water staining on the front which is minimal and does not take away from the overall appearance and also could be restored with leather conditioner which this purse needs but should probably be done professionally by a bag restorer. There is overall normal wear, minor scuffs and scratches on the body. The shoulder strap is in great condition which is normally the first thing to show signs of wear but this one is excellent. The kisslock clasp has had its gold plating worn off slightly but not noticeable and still functions perfectly- a nice tight seal. Stamped with COACH logo behind clasp and marked with B on the hinge pin of the clasp. Main body of bag measures 12” wide x 9.5” tall x 2.5” deep. Adjustable buckle shoulder strap. Genuine Rust color leather. From research found on yourgreatfinds.net: This is a very rare bag from the 1960s and is a Bonnie Cashin design that is pre-slim tote called the "Cashin-Carry." Cute Name! Bonnie made the Cashin-Carry for her own line before she designed for Coach. She also did versions of this bag for Myers. This is unofficially called “The Big Mouth” or “The Wide Mouth” for its only opening is the wide kisslock.
