Serial Number on inside: 2517191Dating: It's hard to make out the dots on the bottom for the dating code. There appears to only be three dots on the left and four dots on the right. On the left, there is a mark that looks like a dot, but when I look close with a loop, it actually looks like a ding. Condition: Appears as if the paint has worn off the words--you can see residue of it left over. Needs new flint & fluid. Hinge is loose & lid closes loosely. Case is scratched & dinged. This is the box we bought it in, but I don't know if the box is the right one for the time period.
