Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE The Pairpoint Glass Company of New Bedford, Massachusetts, decorated Limoges white wares from the 1880s to the early 1900s. A special mark, “Pairpoint Limoges”, is found on examples expertly and richly decorated by artists of that company. This piece bears the Pairpoint overglaze decorating mark in green, dating it from the 1880s to the early 1900s. This rare and unusual pitcher bears the form of a cabbage with the leaves outlined in gold. A large gold waterlily blossom detailed in raised gold paste has been applied to the pitcher as well as a gilded handle topped with a waterlily bud. The mouth of the pitcher has also been gilded, adding to the ornate presentation. The pitcher measures 9 ½” wide, 7” tall and 6 ½” from front to back. The bottom bears the Pairpoint Limoges mark in green that was used from the 1880s to the early 1900s. There is only the tinniest bit of wear to the gold from handling over the years that does not distract from the overall display. There are no chips, cracks or damages of any kind. Please examine all of the photographs as they are considered part of the description and feel free to ask any questions that you may have…
