RARE & UNIQUE Vintage Queen Anne Candlestick Pair

Description: Calling all lovers of bold and unique accents! The vibrant and detailed gold plating on the base and candle cup features a band of flowers and scrolls bordered by fine round "beads". They are offset and complimented by the high gloss white center support. These stunning candlesticks are 3.75 inches tall and were made by the famous Queen Anne silver company in England, then owned by W.G. Allen Ltd (Birmingham)/Mayell. According to a source at Queen Anne, the company only produced "variations" from their normal silver plate work in the late 80s through to the early 90s. This particular set of candlesticks were purchased in 1987. For this line, gold was plated over the zinc base with some components getting a white powder-coat paint or white lacquer instead. The look is very opulent and bold and... VERY 80s! They are gorgeous I couldn't quite capture the right shade of brilliant gold, so I included photos with slight light variations to give the full scope. The candlesticks are in excellent condition. The only blemish I can see is a small scratch in the white lacquer on one candlestick (shown in photo 6.) Please look over all of the photos well. These are sold as is. The bottoms feature a blue felt that shows some signs of wear but is still in very good condition. They will be shipped in their original Queen Anne box which is also in pretty good shape considering the years and number of moves it's been through. It still has the 1987 price tag of $32.50. Because Queen Anne only made these for a short time, there are not many out there. I could not find ANY others on Ebay, Etsy or any other site, so you will have something truly unique to add to your vibe. Queen Anne Silver Plated Tableware currently sells similarly designed silver candlesticks with a "rose" pattern, but they are not exactly the same design and certainly not imbued with bold goldy-white goodness!
