He has subsequently worked with several leading feature animation studios including Warner Bros (Batman), Universal Studios (where he was Art Director), Don Bluth Studios (Thumbelina), Dreamworks(Prince of Egypt, El Dorado), MGM Studios (Cat in the Hat, The Grinch), and Pixar Studios (The Incredibles). He is perhaps best known for his work for Disney Films, where he created maquettes for feature films Aladdin, Lion King, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tarzan, and Tangled, among others; and for his work on Coraline and ParaNorman for Laika Entertainment. Melton’s maquettes have recently been featured at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, the New York Museum of Contemporary Art, and at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.David PachecoDavid started as an assistant animator at Disney in such films as The Fox and the Hound to The Little Mermaid, after graduating from the Otis College of Art and Design in 1980.
