Description: Royal Doulton introduced the Urn Black pattern E4630 sometime between 1907-1910 when this particular E number was utilized. It is a rare version of this particular pattern with an urn in the center. The pink version of this pattern is more common. Urn Black is an intricate, labor intensive, hand painted design consisting of a floral border on a black rim. The inner border has intricate gold lines overlaying rectangles of alternating pink and blue flowers and petals. The trim on the outer edge is mustard yellow enamel with an inner gold line. Offered here is a 9" luncheon plate. The plate is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or other signs of excessive use. There may be a rare light utensil mark when the plate is angled towards bright light. It was made for the Loring Andrews Co. of Cincinnati. It is marked as shown with both the Doulton and Loring Andrews company marks. The price is for one and you can buy up to the number available. We are offering free shipping for this item.
