RARE Red Leather Bespaq Shoeshine Chair w/ Stand

Description: This gorgeous wood and leather shoe shine stand is an early Bespaq piece, complete with both its Bespaq labels on the bottom, including the Bespaq brand impressed into the wood.This rare shoe shine stand is made of wood, finished in their New Walnut stain. It consists of an armchair with gorgeous burgundy leather upholstery, permanently affixed to a two-level stand underneath. The chair is stunning, with 12 miniscule spindles across the top and bottom crests, with carved stiles and arms, and lovely Louis XV legs. The leather upholstery is soft and flawless. The stand features an upper level, supported by a base level complete with two long working drawers. Above these drawers are two foot rests for the customer to use while having his shoes shined.There is a small brass metal can of Kiwi shoe polish glued to the lower base, next to the footrest.This piece would look wonderful in a period street scene, or railroad station, as well as in a shoe store.
