Description: Oxford 1928 Proposed Book of Common Prayer BCP Leather England 269B 4131J 4 73 This is a rare and reader-sized Book of Common Prayer according to the Proposed 1928 edition for use in the Anglican church. Please look closely at the pictures for the certification year for the BCP. The font is very readable, with large typeface for the page’s size, and limited ghosting on very thin paper. Reinforced, sewn text block. Paper quality was amazing back then. There is no indication on the type of leather, but I imagine genuine or Morocco. It has significant abrasions to the spine and top of the binding. While the page edges have what was like an art-gilt at first, they have faded. It doesn’t have scratches, but just a general fading. I found no writing. A slightly look first page at the top seen in the pictures. Clean pages, though, and a reader-sized copy.
