Description: Up for sale is this beautifully unique, hand painted , functional, antique, all wire birdcage. The colors are a bluish/green (teal) and ivory. The birdcage measures 3 1/2ft. tall and is an eye catcher in any room. I’m estimating the french cathedral birdcage to be at least 100 years old. The detail is remarkable, with a large lattice style door that slides up and down. There is a metal tray with a brass colored knob in order to pull out and clean up messes. There is also a wood and metal perch hanging from the center of the cage. Inside, there are two wire baskets in order to hold food and water dishes. The cage measures 15 in. by 15 in. at the base. There are obvious signs of wear which is to be expected from a piece of this age. See photos for details. The cathedral piece has a teal dome at the very top with a hanging hook surrounded by decorative painted leaves.
