Description: This is a rare, hand-finished 27.5" engraved Moroccan (or Egyptian) brass tray with detailed Moroccan latticework and floral patterning. I can't find another one just like it anywhere on the web! It's very large and super detailed. It seems like it might even be brass AND copper because of the coloring but I am not an expert in these things. I'm sharing a lot of photos so you can determine with your own eyes. Some of the brass is so bright and the other metals are black or a darker color like copper and again, I'm not sure how that is achieved but maybe you are more familiar with that craftsmanship. It's certainly incredibly detailed and must have taken a very long time to make because of all of the pattern work. This tray is in excellent condition. There are no dings - again, you can inspect closely because I provided close up shots of the tray in segments. It has no marks on it to indicate where it's from, the maker or the age. I have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina. It measures 27.5" wide by 1" thick and weighs 6 pounds 7 ounces. It's substantial. It has a hanger on back so you can use it as a wall hanging but of course you could also use it as a table top if you have or buy a base online.
