Description: I was there. These are my tickets. I am not in the ticket memorabilia business. I am simply an individual whose life has been blessed by growing up during an extraordinary time when going to a Michael Bloomfield concert like this could actually change your life. Bloomfield certainly changed mine! About this show: 3/31/74 MICHAEL BLOOMFIELD (7/28/43-2/15/81) When Michael Bloomfield's Fender Twin reverb amplifier blew out at the first of two shows, my NYU mate and musical buddy (the late) Tom Goodkind and I were despondent. Tom leaned over to me as Bloomfield unplugged his guitar preparing to step over to the keyboard and reminded me that I had a Fender Twin reverb only 3 blocks away! I jumped up and yelled "Hey! I've got the same amp in my dorm room just a few blocks away - I'll get it here in 5 minutes!" I'd NEVER have thought about this option or had the nerve if Tom hadn't prodded me. Allan Pepper, owner of the Bottom Line sent a guy with a handtruck and a moving blanket as Tom and I guided him back to Weinstein dorm in inclement weather, quickly covered it and loaded it on the hand truck and raced back to the venue just in time for our most cherished guitar hero to play my 1965 "Blackface" Fender Twin amp for the two shows he was to play that night. As a courtesy for providing the "Bloomers" amplification backline, Allan was gracious to give us tickets on the house for the second show as well which is why I taped the two tickets together. So that's two Michael Bloomfield ticket stubs you're looking at here. And let's not forget the storied venue itself… THE BOTTOM LINE (2/11/74-1/22/2004) opened during my first year attending NYU living only a few blocks away. The iconic venues history is well documented and to this day people are well aware of its place in music history. I guess you could say I became kind of a fixture hanging out in front, checkin out the marquee to see who'd be playing next and how much money I'd have to save by not eating dinner to get to see my favorites at the best intimate music venue in New York with the greatest sound system and site lines. Both audience and artist knew that this was the Mecca for live music across a wide variety of genres. ------ I no longer need these physical manifestations as my memories are so vivid and my gratitude so deep but I could sure use the money now that I am a solo senior citizen having recently moved back to NJ after 50 years away. *Please note that your tickets will be shipped fully insured USPS and carefully packed between two pieces of cardboard and then sealed inside a plastic baggie.
