Marx and Co. in 1956. These figures, produced at the Marx factory in Glen Dale, WV, are remarkably lifelike, and were produced in the softest, most exquisite 1950s pastel nursery shades you can imagine: blue, rose, cream and green. Included are Jack and Jill, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Humpty Dumpty, Jack and the Beanstalk and Giant, Little Bo Peep and her Sheep, Little Miss Muffet, Little Jack Horner, Mary Had a Little Lamb and the Lamb, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Mother Cat, Simple Simon and the Pieman, and many others. These have been kept in controlled-temperature storage for the past 13 years, and were obviously well cared for before then. All 26 figures have been inventoried (visually, thru the bag) and are accounted for. Package, including header, is approx. 11" long and 5 3/4" wide. Without header, package is approx. 8" long. If you want to blow the socks off your Boomer loved one, present them with this spectacular relic from the Age of Captain Kangaroo.
