RARE LEDO POLCINI RUNWAY RHINESTONE LEAF BROOCH VINTAGE USA CIRCA 1954

Description: RALPH POLCINI started his company in New York in 1911. In 1949 He named the company: Leading Jewelry Manufacturing Company....LEDO. In 1960, after his death, his son renamed the company POLCINI. This rare jewelry was hand made with high quality materials. The company closed in the 80s. RALPH POLICINI died in 1954. For your consideration today is a brushed golden leaf design with hundreds of clean, pave set, round rhinestones. The piece measures approximately 2.5" x 2" and weighs in at 37 grams - well over one full ounce. The back is done in two tone metal and the pin fits securely into the rollover clasp. The hallmark LEDO sans the copyright symbol (c) which was instituted by the government in 1955 can be seen on the reverse as well. This helps to date the manufacture date from approximately 1950 to 1954. The brooch is in very good vintage condition - no missing or replaced stones. Its been in my collection since the late 80s and has been kept in a closed box in a pet and smoke free environment. Thanks for taking the time to look and to read!
