Description: Large Manhattan Brass Student Lamp Being offered is a very nice example of a rare large adjustable Manhattan Brass student lamp, circa 1880's. Large lamp 24" in height to top of finial and 16" wide. It has a fancy cast brass base & finial with a decorative tank. Lamp is complete with a rare 1880's reverse swirl red, cased 10" shade and the correct MacBeth No. 52 chimney & new wick. Newly polished and laquered and ready to burn or display. Signed on the burner.Lamp is now is oil, it was previously electrified through the connector ball and has been repaired (see picture). The shade has some air bubbles and color intensity not consistant through out, as made with no chips or cracks. The lamp has a few dents, all shown in the many pictures. Email with any questions.
