RARE Impressed WEDGWOOD Brown Transferware DEMI CUP & SAUCER Landscape SCENIC

Description: This impressive ANTIQUE demitasse cup and saucer set from Wedgwood is a rare find for collectors. The brown landscape and floral transfer ware pattern make it a stylish addition to any Victorian-themed setting. The saucer depicts what looks like British Calvary watching a volcano erupt, while the cup depicts a large sailing ship in the harbor with fishermen, a bridge and a castle in the background. Made in the 1800s, the cup and saucer both have the impressed Wedgwood mark on the bottom. The saucer is also marked with three wavy brown lines, Brooklyn Junctions Chicago, and an “S ING” impressed in the bottom. The cup measures 2 3/16 inches in height & 2 1/4 inches in diameter, while the saucer measures 5 inches in diameter. The set also has a rose floral border with leaves and is in excellent condition for its age. There is some glaze crazing, as would be expected of something this old. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines at all. The saucer has a slight flaw to it, but it was definitely done at the factory, as the clear glaze has been applied over the nick or flaw.
