Description: IMPORTED MUNICH LOWENBRAU ON TAP BEER BAR SIGN. Hans Holterbosh Inc. was founded in 1933 in New York City. Not sure exactly what he did. He worked a Lowenbrau concession stand serving German beer and food at the 1964 World's Fair in New York. Later he made a bunch of different Lowenbrau beer signs from a lightweight material. I have seen others similar dating 1969. Hans died in 2016 at the age of 95. This fine piece is in excellent pre-owned condition and shows very little signs of wear and tear. Only the metal chain is a little dark and rusty and the back shows wear. Lion has a few small marks. Looks great. The letters are carved and it has a gold lion attached to it. It looks like it may have been white and painted blue. Wood grain throughout the piece. It will look great in your mancave or bar. Measures 32-1/2 x 7-1/2 X just over 3/4 inch thick. Inscribed under the lion on the thin edge. Hans Holterbosch Inc N.Y. #8026-T. Sign has been turned and rotated so that all sides are shown.
