The base color is clear with swirl inclusions of fuchsia and blue-emerald green. Throughout the piece is controlled bubble pattern. The eagle is standing and is very slender with heads held high, applied dot eyes, and closed clear beak. museum quality condition and without any scratches, chips, or repairs. On the bottom is the etched signature of Alessandro Moretti and one is date 1991 These are directly out of Morretti's personal collection. An Italian American glassblower that worked at the Seguso and Mazzega glass factories creating artistic glass. In 1956 he moved to the United States to the center of glassmaking – West Virginia. He and his brother, Roberto, worked at Pilgrim glass in Huntington, West Virginia in the 1950s and created off-hand animals for the Pilgrim Glass line.
