Description: Rare large dinner plate or charger made by Homer Laughlin as part of their restaurant ware line. The pattern is called "Boardwalk," manufactured in the late 1990s/ early 2000s. It is white with a border of turquoise and goldenrod and a myriad of black motifs on top…a cup & saucer, shrimp, conch shell, lemon slices, fish, clam shell, crab, crown and saxophone, I think? They must have been ordered by restaurants with a seafood, beachy or New Orleans-type theme. I have 8 of these plates and decided to sell them individually in case someone did not want the whole set. They all measure 12 1/4" in diameter and are super thick and heavy as one would expect of restaurant ware, but they are in excellent condition...hardly even any utensil scratching and still very glossy. There are no chips or cracks; a couple have a little tiny divot or two on the back foot which look like manufacturing defects to me. These would be great for some sort of clambake or seafood-themed summer party, so start thinking about the nice weather! Once again, please note that these are large and HEAVY at nearly 3 lbs each unpacked, so do check all your shipping options and feel free to ask questions. I always offer 3 options on large or heavy packages and will use whatever is cheapest for you!
