Description: This is an Estate Fresh old Etching from a local Estate home. Its a RARE " Hieronymus Reading And The Lion " ETCHING by Rembrandt van Rijn I believe. SO SCARCE! This piece is an actual pressed Etching Print as you can see the depression around the outer edge of the image. Not sure when this piece was done, but based on everything else in this old estate, it could easily have been done in the mid to late 1800's - possibly older, so much of the stuff was. The piece is unsigned, like so many ofo these. Etching comes in Very nice condition as described above. Please check out the photos and ask for addit'l if you like. This piece is framed out at 16" tall x 14" wide and the Etching is 4.25"x3.5" wide. Its a beauty!! Try and find one that isn't a photo print or dot matrix piece...this one isn't!
