Simmons Burlington Arcade #W 717 Smooth Bulldog Prince Tobacco Pipe in Outstanding Overall Smoked Condition. Chamber is in lightly smoked condition, The Vulcanite stem is Jet black and Chatter Free and sports the Smoking man in a Tophat stamping. Beautiful Flame grain and a fetching light Walnut finish. Sterling silver band applied to repair small hairline fracture in Shank. England, 1950-70s H. Simmons was one of the most famous London tobacconists with a long history and very nice tobacco shop in the Burlington Arcade. The pipes were ordered from different sources including the Dunhill company. In the 1980 the business was acquired by Dunhill. We cant confirm that this pipe was made by Dunhill; but its a nice piece of briar and good addition to any collection. Incredibly lightweight at under 1oz! Clean and Shiny, ready to smoke.
