Description: Rare German Navy Challenge Coin given by the Commanding Officer of the 2nd Frigate Squadron (2. Fregattengeschwader) in the Mediterranean, during a NATO exercise in 2022. High-gloss coin features the seal of the Fregattengeschwader and the word "Kommandeur" (commander) on one side. On the other, an image of the two frigate types in the squadron: the Sachsen class 124, and Brandenburg class 123. The first 2. Fregattengeschwader was created on October 1, 1988, succeeding the 2nd Escort Squadron (2.
