Description: This beautiful and rare fox valley point measures 1 3/16 inches long and os made from what appears to be to me highly patinated Wayne county blue and white chert; has been suggested it could be Poteet chert from se ky as well. Has great mineralization. Has been heavily resharpened with great flaking and is thin despite a little stackiness on the back. Has a bifurcate base.
