Description: This is a very rare and super cool natural matrix display which exhibits one partial fossil Spruce Cone sometime referred to as a fossil Pinecone with a piece of petrified wood and a small petrified wood twig which was hand dug in the Virgin Valley of Nevada. This Mid Miocene fossil specimen was hand dug and carved out of the matrix and then stabilized in place on the matrix just as it was found and stands nicely for display. This spruce cone display in matrix measures 5.64 inches long by 1.91 inches wide by 3.73 inches high. The Spruce cone measures 4.49 inches long and the piece of fossil wood measures 5.68 inches long. This Virgin Valley Spruce cone and wood in matrix specimen would be an excellent addition to any rock and mineral collection.
