Hardcover, "corrected edition” undated, but published in the 1890s. Original and decorative boards. Included is a thick mylar sleeve. Condition: Very Good overall all. Nice clean and bright boards. Never a library copy, no markings or marginalia found. All plates and illustrations are accounted for. Occasional Foxing. No dampness or bad odors detected. Square and tight binding although I do see one or two loose pages, likely from the time the book was cut. Some pages are very roughly cut as you can see in my 4th photo. A few pages remain uncut, primarily the index and bibliography. About the book: Overall a very scarce printing. Note that parts of this book would be printed several times elsewhere, such as the phallic, masculine cross and nature worship series attributed to Hargrave Jennings ( Rosicrucian / Freemasonry ). Of note: the book offers one of the first and best histories of the flatulent orders of the late middle ages etc.. Shipping within the USA.
