These cards are 49 years old and are in WONDERFUL vintage condition. Please Note: The deck is complete. (Every card from every suit and Arcana is present and verified. 78 cards plus a title card.) This deck does not include blank key cards or instruction booklet. This Tarot deck is a timely, early 1970's artistic deck, inspired by the famous Rider-Waite deck. Pamela Colman Smith's original drawings were reworked in vibrant psychedelic acid tones to produce a very graphic look, representative of the times. "Hoi Polloi", pronounced "EEE- Poh-LEE" means "The People" in Greek. ....The people represented on the cards or the people who are destined to be read. It's all for the collective 'good'. The cards measure 2 3/4" x 4 51/2". There are 78 cards, plus a title card. 77 of the cards are in VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT condition. 77 of the cards are stiff and crisp. PLEASE NOTE: The only card with issues is "The Empress". It has a significant crease across the middle of the card that is visible on both sides of the card. The card is still playable, but it should be replaced down the road. I do not have one currently available to replace it, otherwise I would. There are tarot dealers here on eBay that do sell replacement cards. 'Hoi Polloi'decks are highly sought-after by professional tarot card readers, psychics, and collectors of ephemera AND by collectors of 1970's graphic art. This deck comes in a black, velvet drawstring bag. "Resting" the deck in a black cloth or bag lends to more accurate readings. (No box or instruction pamphlet included.)
