Description: This is very rare. I have only seen one of these for sale before and at more than triple the price! Charles Rennie Mackintosh sideboard designed in 1918 supposedly for the home of W.J. Basset-Lowke. The piece was re-issued by Cassina and some other makers in the 1970s/1980s. There are no labels so I am not sure of the maker, but it is VERY heavy and made of solid wood - built to a very high quality. It is Black stained Ash wood with mother-of-pearl inlays on the six drawer handles. The three lower doors have inset keyholes - three keys are included. The sideboard is finished on all four sides so it can be placed anywhere in a room unlike most pieces which need to be set against a wall! The sideboard features a hutch consisting of three bays with short drawers on the bottom of the two outer sides, above an extended top over six drawers with mother-of-pearl and ashwood pulls. Complete with original keys, three doors beneath conceal individual compartments. Dimensions:64" long, 22.5" deep x 29.5" tall Base dimensions are 53" x 18" and is centered on the tabletop This piece is in excellent condition with no wear shown anywhere except along the very bottom edge - not noticeable. The shipping may not be actual - you can check on a service like uship.com for an actual quote white glove delivery quote from 02420. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
