This sits on a beautiful slab of green marble that represents the sea. This is securely fixes to a turned piece of mahogany. The upper part of this clock lifts off to reveal the brass winding knobs. The chapter ring makes one complete revolution every 24 hours, while the Meridan band remains constant. The movement is made by the exemplary Charles Frodsham & Co LTD.WORKING! We would the brass knobs a little bit and it immediately began ticking. The chapter ring is moving as well.There is tarnishing to the silver ship (polish if you wish).
