Description: Rare Camillus 1 Year JPSK 1960 Jet Pilot Survival Knife NY 6 Inch Blade and Original Leather Sheath American made military artifact! Estate find, and I could not identify the year made for a long time because of the unusual 6-inch blade length. Camillus started making the JPSKs in 1959. These had 6 inch blades and screwed-on pommels. In June 1960, a change was made to weld the pommels to the tang end. in August 1961, the blade length was reduced to 5 inches Because of these factors, I presume the knife to have been manufactured by Camillus in 1960. Unfortunately, someone tried to sharpen and removed the signature black finish on part of the blade. Otherwise, I find the knife and sheath to be in appropriate good vintage condition. I am not an expert on these knives and am describing to my best ability. Please ask questions before bidding, and I will do my best to provide an answer.
