Description: Rare Antique c.1938 Prewar AGFA MOVECTOR Model ISO 1616mm Silent Home Movie Projector In Working Order* / As Pictured - As-Is Watch the Video: https://youtu.be/t_eftIoZoZw For 16mm Silent Films Only - Dual Sprockets This 16mm Agfa Movector, Model ISO-16, was manufactured in prewar Germany for the domestic market, with all the information and instructions appearing in German. It was during the silent movie era, and was made with dual sprockets for showing 16mm SILENT MOVIES ONLY. If you try to run a single-sprocket 16mm film with sound track through this projector, IT WILL ruin the sound track and the film. Use it only for dual-sprocket silent movies! PDF MANUAL INCLUDED: I have a beautiful, professionally scanned copy of the full, original 52-page instruction manual in German, dated 1938. After you purchase the projector, I will send you the PDF. *IN WORKING ORDER: Please watch the video (link above). I DO NOT HAVE the correct 2-prong AC power cord, but they do come up from time to time on eBay, or you could search and acquire one through other sources. (The pins are just under 1/4" diameter and they are 3/4" apart, center-to-center.) As shown in the video, I hooked it up with a temporary 120V power feed, and you can see that the lamp and the motor are both in functional order--though the unit will require a routine cleaning and lubrication before you apply power and begin using it. [ CONDITION... ]- In nice antique condition, from a non-smoking environment. - As mentioned above, there is no power cord included. - This is a 16mm dual-sprocket silent film projector. If you try to run a single-sprocket 16mm film with sound track through it, it will ruin the sound track and the film. - As shown in the video, the motor runs. I don't have a 16mm silent film on hand, so I cannot fully test it. In any case, it requires a deep cleaning and lubrication before you run it. See the diagram inside the projector door, which shows where to lubricate it. - The bulb is in working order so you can project a movie. (Note that antique projector bulbs are not guaranteed to survive shipping due to the fragile filaments, regardless of how much care we take in packing--which we do!) - The rubber feet have age loss. (See final photo.) - This is being sold for its collectible/historic/display value; you probably would not want to press this into everyday use, even after you clean, lubricate, and get it running perfectly again. Be sure to watch the video: https://youtu.be/t_eftIoZoZw A lovely piece of history, and very hard to come by, especially in working condition! The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don't we all!?) It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that there will be something about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up.
