Description: ONE BRASS early hasp style antique trunk or chest lock with the original barrel key and moveable keyhole cover! This can replace broken locks of several American makers including Eagle, Corbin, or Yale. No markings on the lock. The lock base plate measures 2 5/8" tall and 3 1/2" wide to the edges. The top hasp is 3 1/4" long and 1 1/4" wide at the top to the edges. The lock requires a small hole for the base, about 1 1/2" wide by 1 5/8" tall. A lock style used from the 1860s to the late 1800's on many types of trunks including some Jenny Lind trunks. Well made with a brass face plate and ornate key escutcheon, steel rear lock mechanism, and a solid brass hasp. RARE and VERY hard to find especially with a key. NOT reproduced.
