Description: RARE A.W. Wadsworth & Sons Austria Locking Folding Deer Foot Knife with Corkscrew This folding knife features a carbon steel blade range with a plain edge and manual opening mechanism. The handle is made of stag material (deer foot) and still retains most of its valued features - still works and lots of hair! This is in great condition, especially for its age. There is some play in the blade, as expected, but nothing too serious. Also, there is a small chip as noted in the last picture. The blade length is just slightly over 4 inches. The handle is 5 1/2 inches. The weight is approximately 5 1/2 oz. This antique pocketknife is handmade and has a unique release for the locking mechanism. It was manufactured between 1905-1936 and is an original piece. I've listed this as an antique because I have been told that this was one of their earlier production pieces. This is a true collector's item for the serious knife enthusiast and those who appreciate rare and unique pieces.
