The set is hand painted with Watteau scenes in vibrant colors. Fine ladies and gentlemen of the 18th century are strolling the garden or engaging in conversation. The detailed painting of the lovers is exquisite. The basket weave design on the edges is accented with gold as are the rims and handle of the cup.
