The forbidden stitches are fine and all over the composition.The subject is a family in a garden.The father figure or some have suggested it is Kwon Yin riding a tiger or a dragon. There is gold couching all over the piece.The red robe worn by both the adults has an intricate chain stitch type of embroidery. It gives the appearance of being woven.This is an intricately embroidered piece which was neatly cut and put on the blue frame. The framing is of a high quality.The embroidery was intricately made, look at the fine quality of the knots. It was then gently smoothed on the blue silk cloth. One may see a few places where the embroidery is slightly raised inside the frame. You may wish to reframe and re-paste it or leave it as is, it looks fine.Please see all photos.This is in excellent condition and framed. This is a heavy piece weighing in at 2.5 lbs.
