Description: 42 Antique CDV Photo Albums and 16 Loose CDV Photographs. Album 1, (4 ¾” x 6”), pp. ii, 50, [2]. Brown Morocco. Edge gilt on all sides. This album contains 28 CDV photographs, and has several unused photo pages some appear, unfortunately, to have been removed. There is only writing on one photo page to describe a photo that is no longer extant. The pages have some minor foxing. The album contains two metal clasps still intact on the outside. There is metal along the edges, and the leather is worn in various placesAlbum 2, (5” x 6 ¼”), pp, 30. Brown Morocco, square and diamond design on front cover. Edge gilt on all sides. This album was manufactured by G. R. & Co. and contains 29 CDV photographs, but the first page is left empty. One leaf is loose, but the pages are generally clean and damage free, but with some foxing. This album has two metal clasps, but is missing the bottom. The outside binding has wear along the edges, with minor rips along the seams. $400 16 Loose CDV Photographs are also included in this lot, from various manufacturers. 4 photos are from the International Exhibition of 1872, showing multiple works of sculpture. Only one photo names the figures, that being the Prince and Princess of Wales, Edward VII and Alexandra of Denmark. This photo may not be a CDV, as the style seems noticeably different from the rest.
