Description: Extremely Rare Antique Calco/Malibu Pottery Tile This tile is in excellent condition and has never been set! It was embedded into a wood frame using wood glue. The tile was professionally removed from the wood frame, leaving a paper thin layer of wood glue behind on the backside, which could further be removed. There are some small chips close to the back on the sides of the tile, but no chips on face of tile, see photos. One side of the tile is darker, not sure what this is from, see 4th and 5th photos for reference. This a beautiful and rare, large example of a CALCO/Malibu Pottery tile, depicting a forest river scene and pine or redwood tree with a beautiful blue sky and mountains in the background. Colors are bright, along with the keyhole style border, makes this an absolutely stunning tile. There are no cracks or repairs!
