Description: Very rare original cabinet card of Reverend C.B. Allen, pastor of the 1st Baptist Church of Helena, Montana, photographed by the pioneering black photographer James Presley Ball & Son's Helena, Montana studio. Reverend Allen was the only black clergyman in Helena during the 1880s and 1890s. On the back is some old writing, looks like "#3216 Germantown Ave, below Rising Sun Lane, Philadelphia, Pa." and "To L?? from Pa". Cabinet card is 6.5" x 4.25" and in good antique condition, as shown. Boxed & signed Priority Mail. Express Mail is also available at checkout.
