Description: This 2 volume set of Old Italian Lace by Elisa Ricci printed in 1913 is a numbered collector's edition. Both books are numbered 210. On the inside of the front cover of Vol. 2, written in black ink, it reads, "This is property of J.A. Migel Inc." J.A. Migel was a well-known producer of fabrics in New York around the turn of the century. Overall, both copies are in poor plus (P+) condition. Both hardcovers show moderate/heavy wear. The cloth fabric over the covers is moderately frayed, primarily along the edges. There are no pages missing, but the bindings have separated and are somewhat loose. Both books are in readable condition, but they must be handled gently. Both copies show a bit of water damage on the first few pages. It is only the first pages that are affected. The majority of the pages show age but are free of marks, stains, or tears. The exterior edge of the pages shows moderate soiling. The books have beautiful imagery with many detailed photo inserts of ancient lace. A few of the photo plates are missing. These copies are prime candidates for restoration. Though they would make a great addition to any collection as they are. This set is perfect for anyone who loves antique and collectible books and Italian lace!
