President Johnson was so impressed with the design of his Large 2 3/4" size Official Inaugural Medal that he requested to have a limited number of 1000 small size Official Inaugural medal Charms struck. These charms were personally given out by LBJ as VIP Gifts in the White House ! These seldom are offered for sale (its questionable given how few ever surface for sale that more likely 300-500 were actually produced by Medallic Art Co for LBJ) . The LBJ charm is referenced in the Official Inaugural Medals guide published by renowned medals dealer, Joseph Levine. This item is missing from many seasoned Official Inaugural medal collections.
