Description: Offering a very rare vintage 1930's SHURE BROTHERS Chicago Model 701A Microphone. Shure called these "grille-type" mics, originally outfitted with crystal elements which never lasted very long. We have replaced the dead element with a new dynamic capsule, while preserving its original sonic profile. The physical condition is overall good. The wire front and rear covers are in excellent shape, readable Shure maker's badge, and the chromed perimeter retains the majority of its original sheen. A short 2 foot cable is hardwired with 1/4" male phono plug, and includes the desk stand.
