Description: Rare 1929-1939 Signed Aram Zildjian 14" Thin Crash. This cymbal has unique vaudevillian crash-type characteristics. Bright & crisp with a smooth quick wash, would also make an amazing hi-hat cymbal. Aram Zildjian was a well known political activist who actually tried to assassinate the Turkish Sultan! (Please refer to google search for full story & video) Here is a prime example example of Aram’s finest craftsmanship for your cymbal collection. The sharp, well-defined signature of Aram is very rare to find on any cymbal. This is how the original A Zildjian's were made when the Ks were coming in from Istanbul. In that similar fashion it has a small hole, rounded bell, thin lathing and of course 100% authentic signature. The sound is darker than most conventional A's due to the original alloy and taper. As far as rarity, I've seen more signed Istanbul K's than I do antique vintage A's. It weighs in at 635 grams. I'm told this is the first stamp of the famous A. Zildjian series (see photos). Notice the exceptional hammering & high-quality craftsmanship. Buy it now or make offer. Please ask any questions you may have prior to purchase. USA buyer pays $43 or exact FedEx ground shipping , excluding AK/HI. Includes insurance.
