Description: Rare 1928 Banknote from Bolivia Five Hundred Bolivianos Large Note Good or Better For your World Currency Collection-PCU606 Details Description: This a rather large size rare banknote from Bolivia. It is a good 500 Bolivianos currency note issued by the Central Bank of Bolivia. It has an olive green design over multicolored background. The front displays the image of Simon Bolivar at left and the image of his friend and collaborator Antonio Jose De Sucre to the right both in oval frames. There is a view of the city of La Paz in the center of the front. The back is purple in color and displays the Bolivian arms in the center. The front displays the denomination, the serial number and three had signed signatures. The back displays the denomination in writing and in numerals. The note has no watermark that we could find. This particular note has the serial number 35936 displayed twice in red on the front. Please carefully review scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Issued based on the law of 2 Juky 1928. Printer: American Banknote Company. Size: The banknote measures ~6 7/8" by ~3 1/2". Pick Number: P 126a. Condition: I would grade this banknote as good with all the details being well preserved and retaining vivid colors and much of its original stiffness. The note has several folds and general wrinkling, it is rather heavily soiled with several stains. The note has been repaired with tape which can be seen on the back. The note was torn entirely into two halves and taped. In addition, there is tape repairing tares in the center of both the left and right edge. The note has several additional tears along the edges. The corners are rounded and show losses. This is a rare note and although this example is not in the greatest shape, it provides an opportunity to add it to your collection at a very reasonable price or it could serve as a place holder in your collection until a better example can be found.
