Maine "Lest We Forget" Memorial Ceremony Committee Badge - Arlington National Ceremony - Army and Navy Union w/ U.S.S. Maine Photo Button. Button itself measures approx 1 1/4" in diameter, entire piece approx 2" X 5 1/4" at its widest points. Nice condition for age with some light wear and light soiling, 2 pin holes at the bottom of the ribbon where I presuming it was pinned for display at some point, no tears, no cracks in the celluloid, sharp photo image of the ship. Made by Meyer's Military Shop in Washington D.C. The Mast Memorial itself was not finished until 1915, but a memorial service for those lost was held at the unfinished memorial on this date of Feb 16, 1914. Great historical piece. As pictured.
